The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
